Welcome
The
City of Las Cruces Water Conservation Program comes
to life as a way to inform our residents of practical water
conservation measures that will aide in maintaining the sustainability
of our water supplies for future generations. This website
contains information to

This chart represents total annual metered demands of single family residential customers. By 2006 the City provided potable water to 3,971 more accounts estimated increase of 9,500 with less total demands then in 2003 that still remains one of the City's highest diversion years in the past 5 years. One may examine closer 2004 a 5% rate increase was implemented with the COS. 2005 remained a dry very hot year, and in 2006 the flooding monsoons had returned along with the continued arrival of new residents. Conservation starts in our own backyards.

Walk
your irrigation system now and make any needed adjustments or repairs,
before the April 1st irrigation schedule begins. Combined single family
residential irrigation places the largest demands on our water
supplies. New to town? It goes like this:
From April 1st to September
30th
> No watering of vegetation between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Effective Year Round
> No watering on Monday
> Even numbered addresses - Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
> Odd numbered addresses - Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
